Ciuma è un musicista che esprime se stesso attraverso le sue composizioni, che si distingue per il suo approccio originale e autentico. Dal suo strumento ha origine una musica che parla direttamente al cuore.
Non c’è uno stile che lo definisca, quanto una capacità di creare un’identità sonora che è al tempo stesso originale e accogliente. La sua musica crea immagini, non ha confini, si esprime attraverso il suono, il movimento e l’emozione, manifesta ciò che non si può dire ma che non può rimanere in silenzio. C’è disordine e chiarezza, si può prendere quello che ognuno desidera, quello che serve. Ci si perde sapendo sempre dove sei.
Nato a Cesena nel 1963, si avvicina all’organetto nel 1988 rivelandosi in poco tempo uno dei migliori interpreti di questo strumento ed acquisendo ben presto una vasta esperienza del patrimonio etnomusicale italiano ed europeo.
Polistrumentista, cantante e compositore, fonda nel 1990 il gruppo “Bevano Est”, con cui si esibisce in numerosi concerti in Italia e all’Estero.
Con Bevano Est è autore di numerosi dischi e della colonna sonora del film “Il dolce rumore della vita” di G. Bertolucci, e collabora attivamente con compagnie e collettivi teatrali per la composizione e l’esecuzione di musiche di scena e spettacoli d’animazione.
Vince il premio miglior colonna sonora originale al Brooklynfilmfestival con il film “Solo Cose Belle” di Kristian Gianfreda nel 2019

His instrument gives rise to music that speaks directly to the heart, without a defining style, but rather an ability to create a sound identity that is both original and welcoming. His music creates images, it has no boundaries, it expresses itself through sound, movement and emotion, it manifests what cannot be said but cannot not be said. His music is disorder and clarity at the same time: you can take what you want, what you need, losing yourself but always knowing where you are
Born in Cesena in 1963, he approached the accordion in 1988, quickly revealing himself to be one of the best interpreters of this instrument and soon acquiring vast experience of the Italian and European ethnomusical heritage.
A multi-instrumentalist, singer and composer, in 1990 he founded the group ‘Bevano Est’, with which he performs in numerous concerts in Italy and abroad.
With Bevano Est, he is the author of numerous records and the soundtrack for the film “Il dolce rumore della vita” by G. Bertolucci, and actively collaborates with theatre companies and collectives for the composition and performance of stage music and animation shows.
Wins the original sound track award at the Brooklynfilmfestival with the movie “Only good Thing” by Kristian Gianfreda in 2019
